Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a very simple layout that uses minimal supplies – basically just cardstock!  If you have an electronic die cutting machine like the Sizzix Eclips2, you really don’t need much else. This layout is totally about the Sunflower cut file from Quietfire Design.  I fell in love with it when I saw it, and what better page embellishment for sunflower photos?  I was so excited last year when a friend told me about a nearby sunflower field.  You can of course customize the colours and size of the flowers as you see fit so it is a very versatile file. I cut the flowers and the title out with a Sizzix Eclips 2.  I opened the svg file, ungrouped the shapes and cut them out of different colours of cardstock.  They were so pretty I didn’t want to add a lot of other ‘stuff’…

Connie created the hearts on her card using Saran Wrap, Ranger glossy paper and Close To My Heart re-inkers!  To create the textured background she used Ranger texture paste, a Dylusions stencil and Close To My Heart re-inkers! Hi, Connie Nichol here today with a bright and cheerful scrapbook page featuring Close to my Heart products. My kids and I travelled to Germany last summer with friends and had the best time.   And took a lot of pictures.  Ha!  You’ll be seeing a of them as I slowly get them scrapbooked. This layout started with the Happy thin cuts die from CTMH. I coloured the die cut with Chameleon alcohol ink markers and then added three coats of Ranger clear embossing powder to make the words glossy and dimensional.  You can see how to do this step by step in the Creative Scrapbooker Technique Taster’s Web Show #105 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NnLYeAYb6A&t=6s It’s easy to do and looks very cool. I used patterned paper from the Close To My Heart Adventure Fundamentals line – so bright and colourful – and coordinating die cuts from the Good Life Fundamentals packet.   …

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with  a layout inspired by the monochromatic days of a northern Alberta winter.  I used black and white because that’s pretty much the only colours I see right now when I look outside.  Sigh.  But soon the days will get longer and it won’t be long before the snow melts and the grass turns green again.  Yes, I am an eternal optimist. I made myself a triangle template out of a scrap of paper and used it to cut the patterned paper and photos into large triangles which form the basis of the layout. The paper is the Uptown Fundamentals line from  Close to My Heart.  This paper (and other matching products) are a gorgeous and versatile black, white and gold colour and is available from the Annual Inspirations Catalogue from CTMH.  I used the Framework Alphabet Acrylic Stamps to stamp the title and the paper…
